While disasters create instant poverty through the loss of lives and productive assets, poverty accentuates natural disasters through encroachments in the high-risk marginal areas. Being a developing country, Nepal needs assistance and support from international communities and friendly nations to strengthen the capabilities for natural disaster prevention and reduction, making early warning system as the key element. Thus, Disaster Reduction Nepal (DRN) is working in partnership with National and International organization to buildup community’s awareness regarding Disaster Risk management.
